Keynote Speakers

Maryanne Oketch
Maryanne Oketch is a familiar face because of her appearance on CBS’s hit show, Survivor. She was the second black woman and the second Canadian to win the 42nd season, outsmarting 17 other contestants to become the “Sole Survivor”. Maryanne holds an MTS from Tyndale University and a BSc in Integrated Science from McMaster University. Today, Maryanne Works for TVO in their Teen and Tween Department, and works to make educational content that is both fun and engaging for those watching.

Alvin Law
Alvin takes people from noticing him for the wrong reasons, to admiring him for the right reasons. There’s more to Alvin than what’s missing. There’s more to all of us than what’s missing. He encourages people to ignore labels, to see each other’s similarities, not our differences — we are all the same. When people ask him if he has a list of things he can’t do, he asks them, “Do you?” Although Alvin’s circumstances are unique, his story is universal. It’s easy for him to craft an experience that is relevant to your organization’s audience…so they walk away having heard the message you need them to hear.

Small Bits of Happiness
Mercedes and Anastasia Korngut are two teen sisters who started their company, Small Bits of Happiness, two years ago.  Their mission is to help individuals of all ages find more happiness in daily life.  They have reached over four million teens and adults. As two teens, Mercedes and Anastasia understand firsthand the difficulties of teenage-hood, including not only the hormonal changes that tweens and teens undergo, but the added stressors of war, post-pandemic life, and beyond. The two have been featured on national news and media, spoken at schools and conventions across North America, host the podcast Hack Your Happiness, as well have designed a series of happiness-wellness products for tweens, teens, adults and schools.
